With Tennessee recently passing A bill to permit people who own?
TN doesn't license handguns. Few states do. With about 20 states now having constitutional carry, it seems restrictive laws have no valid function. Nothing bad seems to happen with removal of restrictions. Maybe that would be different in the largest cities, but the rationalizations of gun controllers seem ill founded. At the same time, you shouldn't expect a dramatic decrease in violence, either. The actual discussion isn't about firearms, or public safety. Gun control in general isn't about those. It's about whether we allow government brute power, or require that our laws have positive outcomes.
